Bio
Gijs van Bon studia e costruisce oggetti, installazioni e performance a cavallo tra l’arte, il teatro e la tecnologia. Il suo costante interesse per lo scorrere del tempo e il legame tra questo e la materia lo porta a studiare, attraverso i suoi oggetti teatrali autonomi e i suoi orologi astratti, il rapporto tra persone, oggetti e tempo. La tecnologia si dimostra un ottimo strumento per trattare i contenuti legati al suo lavoro. I suoi oggetti variano da piccoli oggetti da esporre nell’intimità di uno spazio chiuso a installazioni di grande scala in spazi pubblici.
Project
Minuted è un’installazione performativa sulla scrittura poetica effimera, in cui un getto d’inchiostro scrive meccanicamente delle poesie su un piccolo nastro ricoperto di sabbia che gira molto lentamente. Al termine del nastro, la sabbia cade, formando una pila. Il progetto rappresenta la materializzazione del pensiero, del tempo e della poesia.
Bio
Gijs van Bon researches and builds objects, installations and performances somewhere between the boundaries of art, theatre and technology. Captivated by a continuous interest in the moving of time, and how material relates to it, he investigates through his autonomous theatrical objects and his abstract time pieces the relationship between people, objects and time. Technology proves to be a very good instrument to deal with the content with which he is working. The objects from Van Bon vary from small intimate indoor pieces to very big installations in public space.
Project
A performance installation on ephemeral poetry writing. Minuted machine writes poems with ink on sand that is placed on a very slow-turning small belt. At the end of the belt the sand falls onto a pile. The project is the materialising of thought, time and poetry.
