Ascoltando la natura da vicino, è possibile scoprire un mondo affascinante e inaspettato, che passa spesso inosservato a un osservatore superficiale. Michiel Martens ha creato un set di strumenti low-tech in grado di trasformare i sensi, amplificando le esperienze. La grande “tromba auricolare” in legno consente di potenziare l’udito, captando suoni che normalmente si perderebbero nell’ambiente. La “paletta dei mostri” scava nella terra per portare alla luce ed esaminare i piccoli esseri viventi che vivono sotto la superficie. Martens ha realizzato disegni di altre 100 idee. Con Dig into nature offre una nuova possibilità di connessione all’ambiente che ci circonda.

There is a great deal more to nature than you see or hear at first glance. Those who zoom straight into it will discover a whole new world. Michiel Martens has created a set of tools that can help the senses by magnifying an experience. The enormous wooden “ear trumpet” will help you prick up your ears and capture sounds that would normally be gone with the wind. A “monster scoop” literally digs deep into the ground to unearth and sift through the creepy crawlies living beneath the surface. Dig into nature adds a new dimension to experiencing nature.
